The new uniforms for Tokyo Gas Network Co., Ltd., which succeeded Tokyo Gas Co., Ltd.’s gas pipeline business through a corporate spin-off and started operations as a gas pipeline company in April 2022.
We handled everything from uniform procurement consulting to design, placing great importance on balancing wearer comfort and safety. Feedback was gathered from on-site staff regarding both the positive aspects of the previous uniforms and areas needing improvement, and samples were developed in collaboration with Tokyo Gas’ uniform team.
Regarding materials, plant-based fabrics were selected, supported by data from third-party testing organizations and considerations from an SDGs perspective.
The HE METHOD (Japanese patent application 2019-199922) was adopted to improve arm mobility from the underarm to the underarm to the shoulder. Combined with stretchable materials, it provides enhanced comfort for the wearer.
The HE METHOD (Japanese patent application 2019-199922) was also applied to the waist area, enhancing mobility and reducing on the lower abdomen.
High-brightness retroreflective material was applied in appropriate locations to help prevent pedestrian-vehicle accidents during work.
A unisex design that takes diversity into consideration.
The VI color lines, designed for visibility from a distance, also contribute to branding.
The cold-weather wear features a breathable, waterproof construction suitable for rainwear and includes a 3-way detachable vest for adjustable temperature control.
